"We don't know where to begin! We LOVE your restaurant! WE were made to feel so welcome...Our first visit was on Sat May 21st, we got there late in the evening and you all were running short on a lot of your main dishes, (y'all were very busy!), but we were informed of this while waiting, in case we wanted to leave(we didn't), but definitely appreciated the info...we were pleasantly seated at a cozy table for 2 and promptly were offered something to drink, and we placed our order right away, since we already new what we wanted! We were served by a very nice young man, it was his first week on the job, and had a delicious meal!...Oh we loved the onion rings too!..Then we ordered the MOST delicious carrot cake we have ever eaten. We expressed our thanks and how much we loved the food...and planned to come back while still on island..We saved Scotty's for our last nite on the island Tuesday May 24th, when we arrived at 6pm, we were promptly seated and served by a very nice woman, and again had the BEST BBQ! Had a beautiful view and of course Carrot Cake!
We had a leisurely dinner and enjoyed our evening. We were sad to leave! We took a picture of your sign and the front of the restaurant from the beach! We have already had the opportunity to recommend you to a coworker who is coming to Kauai on her honeymoon! We thank you for making us feel so special...Ron (my husband) has been in the Food and Beverage industry for almost 25yrs. (18 with Knotts Berry Farm's Steakhouse Restaurant and now is at Legoland California as an Asst Mgr in the Food & Beverage department, so we know the industry! WE RAVE about your food, service, location and staff to all who will listen! We look forward to returning someday! But for now, your place will always hold dear memories to us! We were absolutely 100% satisfied with the dinner and definitely plan on visiting several times next year on our vacation. " Just wanted to Thank You for a great meal, my wife and I were on vacation in Kauai, and I was in need of a BBQ fix, ( I'm an addict), you more than fit the bill. It was a very nice rack of ribs, and the atmosphere and waitress added to the occasion. The only downer was the fact that I wanted to purchase a Scottys BBQ T shirt, and was told they all sold out.. bummer, if you could let me know how I might go about getting one I would love to buy one. By the way I am from Pennsylvania, and have only found one other place in the US that has good ribs like you... trust me I've tried them all, at least all that I've had a chance to. " Your food and service are outstanding! I visited Scotty's twice in April, 2005, with my wife and son, and am only sorry we didn't stop by more often. We are both in the upper 50's and our son is 37 (he actually was treating us on the trip, and he selected your establishment from the Ultimate Guide book. The terrific view (with the tiered seating) and the very friendly staff, make this our favorite restaurant on the Island. We were staying at the Hyatt, but much preferred the family atmosphere offered at Scotty's. Thank you for being a big part of our best vacation ever."

" Scotty, Dinner at your establishment was one of the highlights of our vacation this year. In retrospect I wish that we had allowed more time for Kauai. Of the Islands that we visited, this was our favorite. Anyway, the food was a welcome treat. Portions were big and I was full when I left. When you factor in the prices, we really got good value. Then there was the service. Our waiter, Nathaniel (?) Swick (sp?) provided good service and made us feel more like locals than tourists. ie. We felt very welcomed. By the way the BB-Q was delicious! The last time I had BB-Q like that I was in St. Louis. I do not exaggerate when I tell you my mouth is watering now, just thinking about it. Anyway, best of luck to you in your new adventure!"

"My wife and I spent 3 weeks in Hawaii visiting Maui, Lanai, and Kauai on our honeymoon. We had our "revealed" guide books in hand which led us to many fabulous eateries, but Scotty's is the only place we went out to more than once (in fact 3 times in four days, sorry we didn't try it sooner!). I must say that I spent many hours on the beach fantasizing about opening up my own place...but then reality set in...how do I top Scotty's?!"
